Open since 2012, this nursery was designed as a space where light, colours and nature are important parts of the project and are expressed by the vegetation outside the park, which is always visible thanks to the transparent façades, by the large winter gardens and by the ateliers where these parts become playtime objects. Reggio Children offered its years of expertise while working with the MAST architects to develop an innovative pedagogical model based on play, teamwork, family participation, nutritional and musical education, illustrations for children and the language of children, including in terms of learning English. Lifelong professional training for workers has also been planned in collaboration with the Cadiai and Giannino Stoppani cooperatives. Having been modernised in 2013 to offer a pre-school, the facility can now accommodate 80 children, 85% of whom come from families of employees of the Coesia Group and 15% from families spread around the region, under an arrangement with the Municipality.
The Panta Rei cooperative has been working since 2012 on the start-up and permanent training of the workers by providing consultancy in partnership with Reggio Children and its own staff: a teacher trainer when the service was launched and now with a teaching coordinator.
