Nido Giulia Maramotti was born out of an agreement between the Municipality of Reggio Emilia and the Giulia Maramotti Foundation with the common goal of expanding the city's network of infant-toddler centres.
In 2007, once the construction phase was completed, the Foundation donated the school to the Municipality of Reggio Emilia, which, through a tender, entrusted its management to Cooperativa Sociale Panta Rei from 7 January 2008.
The environment of Nido Giulia Maramotti was conceived as a set of different and diversified spaces in relation to each other, spaces strongly emerge as intrinsic qualities of the space: transparency, mobility, thresholds, luminosity, three-dimensionality, volumes, sonority. Those spaces have become the fields of research between pedagogy and architecture, within which children and adults have investigated, both in experiencing the nursery and its architecture, and in experiencing the connections with the large green space that surrounds it.

EDUCATIONAL RESEARCH
The interior and exterior architecture of the nido support knowledge and learning paths around the theme of nature, in close connection with focuses such as sustainability, outdoor education, biodiversity, green innovation.
ATELIER
Each section houses a miniatelier that has been given different identities to give value to the children's research in every environment.
CUCINA
There is an in-house kitchen. Lunch and snacks are prepared by the kitchen staff of Cooperativa Panta Rei . The menù of the municipal infant-toddler centres and preschools of Reggio Emilia is adopted on a four-week basis with seasonal variations.

(*there is no reduction in tuition fees for part-time attendance).
Extended time from 16.00 to 18.30 (active with a minimum of 7 enrolments).

Nido Giulia Maramotti is open from 1st settembre to 30th June.

Activated in July with subsidised enrolment at Cooperativa Panta Rei.
INFO AND ENROLEMENT
Agreed enrolments take place online according to the methods and times indicated by the Istituzione Scuole e Nidi d'infanzia del Comune di Reggio Emilia (Municipality of Reggio Emilia Preschools and Infant-toddler Centres), indicatively in January for preschool enrolments and in April for nursery (nido) school enrolments.
PRIVATE ENROLEMENT
The nido offers 6 private enrolement places 0-3 years.
