Eni06 is part of the welfare project as part of Eni's commitment to provide a better support to people in reconciling the demands of private and working life. It was created following an in-depth comparison with avant-garde experiences based on a national and international level, aiming to achieve excellence in every field, from pedagogical to architectural, from organisational to management: this project places the wellness of child and the community at the centre of its focus.
The project was realised by Eni in collaboration with Reggio Children, a world-renowned consultant in the field of education and pedagogy, organisational and management projects connected to infant-toddler centres and preschools, and with the Department of Human Sciences for Education of the University of Milan-Bicocca.
Eni06 started its activities in September 2010, managed by Reggio Children and the Cooperativa Sociale Panta Rei through a temporary business association (ATI), and welcomes children from 6 months to 6 years of age.
3 Infant toddler sections
1 mixed age section 2-3 years
4 pre-school sections
The innovative research pathways that belong to this school focus on nature and science, with an approach towards scientific knowledge generated by the spontaneous observation of nature, by the important topics about the world, by the everyday explorations, by the reflexivity about one's own thinking; the English language, or the learning of a second language, is present in the everyday experience; the food education, throught the presence of the in-house kitchen that promotes a balanced relationship between health, taste and the pleasure of being at the table on a daily basis.
ATELIER
Inside school there are four large ateliers, each one characterised by a specific research. Each section houses a mini-atelier which has been given different identities to accommodate and give value in each space to the children's research.
Two atelieristas are present daily.
ENGLISH LANGUAGE
In each section there is an English or bilingual language teacher to support the learning of a second language during th everyday life and within the children's communicative and play activities, this contributes to the formation of a flexible mind and on the social level of a ‘plural and pluralistic mind’. The working group includes an English-speaking workshop leader (mother tongue or bilingual)
