The name Faber is dedicated to Fabrizio De Andrè, a songwriter that is able of let our sight fly higher than the plane of ordinary life and leading us to poetic imagery.
Faber nido and pre-school is housed in the Villa San Giusto. The villa was built in Art Nouveau style during the second half of the 19th century for residential use. Around 1950, the building was purchased by the Municipality of Reggio Emilia and used as a primary school, later becoming a municipal infant toddler center and kindergarten. Since 2003 the school has been managed by Cooperativa Panta Rei in agreement with the Municipality of Reggio Emilia. The school stands on three floors, and is surrounded by a large wooded park.
Faber promotes the educational continuity from 0-6 years: families can enrol their children in the infant toddler center and continue their experience at the preschool without reapplying to the Municipality.

EDUCATIONAL RESEARCH
Educational and pedagogical research is open to the daily presence of natural languages and digital environments, the exploration of light phenomena, the poetic languages and the theatre for children.
The presence of digital tools supports the children's discovery and encourage creativity, openness and curiosity, the pleasure of playing and discovery while having activities in small groups.
ATELIER
An atelierista is part of the working group and supports the teachers in the every day activities with children. Each sections of the school host a mini-atelier that is the expression of the different identities of the chidlren's experiences and researches.
KITCHEN
Faber host in-house kitchen. Lunch and snacks are prepared by the kitchen staff of the Panta Rei Cooperative. The menu of the municipal infant-toddler centres and preschools of Reggio Emilia is adopted on a four-week basis with seasonal variations.
A special table is available for lunches by reservation from the children's daily menu, for parents, grandparents and friends from 13.00

Extended time from 4 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. (active with a minimum of 7 enrolments).
SCHOOL CALENDAR
The service is open from 1 September to 30 June.
SUMMER SERVICE
Active in the month of July with agreed enrolment at Cooperativa Panta Rei.
INFO AND ENROLMENTS
Registration takes place online according to the methods and times indicated by the Municipality of Reggio Emilia's Istituzione Nidi e scuole dell'infanzia (Infant-toddler Centres and Preschools), approximately in January for preschool enrolments and in April for infant toddler enrolments.
